Denise comes to the Not-for-Profit Practice of OneAccord with 30 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in lives as diverse as junior high students and top media executives. She knows what it is like to approach a daring and bold vision with limited human and financial resources.

As an objective-driven, collaborative professional with a broad base of fund raising success, Denise wakes up every morning thinking about how to help organizations be more effective. She is committed to helping a team stay focused on its mission, accomplish its purpose, and fulfill its hopes and dreams.

Campus Crusade for Christ International was an ideal incubator for Denise's philosophy and practice. Raising funds to cover the cost of her position as a new staff member soon led to teaching and coaching over 600 new and senior staff in the principles and methods of fund raising. Tens of millions of dollars were raised for campus ministry and international outreach as a result.

As a representative of Mastermedia International for 15 years, she was honored to play a leadership role in developing and implementing fund raising strategies for the board, the CEO, senior leadership, major gift officers, and summer college interns. The quality of Mastermedia's relationships with donors at all levels grew significantly as a result of her strategic and intentional approach to biblical stewardship.

Under her direction, Mastermedia's telephone fund raising campaign became notably more effective, with a return on investment of 6:1 and more than 90% pledge fulfillment. The ministry's first major donor event launched the most successful fund raising campaign in the history of the ministry with her leadership

Building relationships with donors, facilitating their partnership in important and meaningful work, and training others to do the same, have been some of the most rewarding elements of her career.

She was awarded the professional designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 2005. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, professional achievements, and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights. Additionally, candidates must pass a written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fund raising executive.

Interviewing, evaluating, and selecting dozens of leadership professionals is a specialty that has complemented her primary role at each stage of her career Denise lives in California with her husband, seeks out conversations about important subjects, and keeps her mind clear by laughing, walking, and gardening. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, she is proud to be a Nittany Lion and loves Penn State football.
