Al Zimmerman, CFRE, CSPG, brings skills and experience in nonprofit leadership, planned gift design and implementation, complex asset management, strategic planning, and administration in assisting organizations to fulfill their mission. At the core of his approach is the belief that nonprofit agencies flourish with a sense of direction gained from a thoughtful analysis of their history, community, constituency, and prospects. Successful gift planning assists donors to act on their passion and fulfill their overall philanthropic and financial planning objectives.

He is able to provide: administrative and fundraising leadership, marketing assistance, specific gift plans, donor presentations, workshops and training for staff, donor-oriented workshops, and gift administration counsel that reflects the organization’s fiduciary responsibilities. His goal-oriented approach produces results.
Most recently Al provided leadership to the Northwest Christian Community Foundation. NCCF is a broad-based Christian entity with a vision of enabling donors to enhance their support of ministries through strategic giving initiatives. He has been involved in numerous real estate gift transactions involving sophisticated and complex giving plans in Oregon, Washington, and other parts of the country. He is a frequent speaker on planned giving and other fundraising topics.
Al has over 26 years of experience in the development field, especially in the area of gift planning. He was director of planned giving for George Fox University. He served as vice president for planned giving for the Oregon Health & Science University Foundation for more than twelve years. He was executive director of the Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital Foundation in Lincoln City, Oregon and director annual giving and special projects for Warner Pacific College.
